Our largest edit by some distance. These embroidered dresses are built around traditional Pakistani handwork — naqshi, zardozi, dabka, resham, marrori, muqaish, tilla and cutdana — applied by hand rather than machine.

What Each Technique Does

Naqshi and dabka give raised metallic relief; resham lays fine coloured thread into floral vines; muqaish and badla catch light in flat silver and gold; marrori and kundan add dimensional weight at the neckline and borders. Most pieces combine three or four.
